when using esato forum on my p900, i still use the wap version rather than the html light version as all i tend to do is read the latest posts. one thing that bugs me though is that i have to freuently purge the cache on the phone so that when you revisit a page to check updates you get the updated version rather than the one loaded from the cache.
On a slightly different note, i just tried html light and it would not let me log in on the main page, it just reverted back to saying you are not logged in, strange.
what versions of the forum do other wappers use and why?

I use html light on the P900 and occassionally the wml version on the T630

I have noticed that even when I log in and can read PMs etc but if I return to the forum menu page it shows me as not logged in and yet I can subsequently reply to threads etc without entering username and password so clearly I am logged in.

A tip for you: create bookmark for xhtml login and then after using the search or reading pm's just relogin with that bookmark and voila,you're on xhtml version again ;-)

i couldn't find the new post feature on html light, which is why i use WML. I have managed to use html light on t610 before though with no problems, and html light when on PPC.

Is there any reason for when you try to view the proper site on an IPAQ PPC, the place that has the thread names, or the name of the board, ie the general board, is completly blacked out, and the only thing that you can see is the folder on the left.
I have viewed other forums with my PPC and haven't experianced the problems on them.

what menu item is that? I don't see reload there.

I use the third icon from the left at the bottom (after the previous page and next page icons), you can also reload the page by pressing and holiding the stylus on the screen until a menu appears which also has reload

yeah, I too have noticed that the last poster gets attributed as the thread author

don't wanna complain to laffen to much because I'd prefer to see who the last poster was

the way i found the new posts page was by clicking the menu text right at the top middle of the screen on the forum home page. it takes you to the page with new post, bookmark,pm, etc on it.
agreed, last poster is better than starter

@Masseur
You have an icon on the bottom of the page for refresh, I can't see one I have only 6 icons the default browser icon on the left, bookmarks, back, forward, stop and home (from left to right) Are you by any chance using Opera?
Also I have the 'reload page' under the 'internet' menu fourth from the bottom
