second hand, used. Its official got the news from ericsson today, your warranty states only a working unit must be supplied. My second t68 developed faulty screen,it was sent to CELESTICA in Telford.Could not be repaired so they sent me another phone, must be new i thought, different ime number.Loose battery, sticking buttons phone freezes,oh and also a deep scratch on screen.Ive demanded a brand new phone Ericsson wont oblige. So now ive demanded the faulty original unit back with same ime no as on my box.Uh ericsson are, kinda interested now.I paid £400 for a phone and i want the one i brought back, its LAW they cannot just give you a second hand reconditioned unit and take your original.New phone or repaired old phone,me vs sonyericsson.Thats like buying a brand new car taking it back to the garage, and the garage, fobbing you off with same model, different registration, but used second hand.I DONT THINK..................

that's nothing new.... if should replace every faulty phone with a brand new all servicepoints would end up with loads of phones that couldn't be used... phones that are faulty, damaged by liquid etc (and the customer has gotten a swap unit) are repaired, the cover is switched to a new one and the phone can be used as a swap unit.

And no, there is no law that they must give you a brand new phone.... in most cases a swap unit is a reconditioned phone, no matter if you have , Nokia, Motorola, Siemens etc.

If your phone can't be fixed, they should be able to give you one that does, but with your cover or something, so that it's the same outside... it's a bit crappy with a scratch on it....

I'm on your side andy4, actually, probably everyone else here is on your side.

I would get pissed off if they'd replace my phone with an older phone that I payed $500 for. Here you go sir, a working phone, don't bother with the BIG scratch on the front, that's nothing...

Problem is, SonyEricsson doesn’t really care until someone decides to take this a step further (Preferably a US Court where you are sure to win, HEHE)

Its rather sick, think about it!!
You buy a phone - your own T68i/m and if an error occurs you sends it away, and may ending up with someone else "old" T68. They all feels different, and the least we can "demand" as customers is a brand new cover or the same that was on the phone when it was sent to service, and the same with the keys.
My last phone was looking brand new, and when I returned it after service it had some scrathes, and when I called Customer Support and asked if they shouldnt switch the covers to a new when it was replaced, they just went on :
" No we dont have any policy for that..." It sounded like I should be happy that I got a phone back after service.

I clearly understands that has no option to switch all units that goes to service with out of box brand new ones.
But as it as right now it sucks some..
