Nokia can't be best, help me find ericsson software..... |

After many years with nokia, i finally came to my senses and chose Ericsson. There is only one thing I miss; The nokia software for Pc made it possible to take backup of your phone, for example SMS, phonesettings etc.
Does it exist any software which can do this with my t68? Please respond quickly, I have to take backup of my SMS which are from my uncle whos now dead from cancer..... This would mean a lot to me.
PS! I know about the phone and text manager software and the synchorization software. I have managed to synchronize the sms with outlook.
In another words I'm looking for a backup program, who makes it possible to restore the data just as they wore, for example after a softwareupgrade, or changing to another ericsson... Like nokias software....

But phonebackup really makes a backup instead of a synchronization and a backup program is what Pedalen is loking for

Thanks to all of you who have replied my message. But I'm sorry to say that none of the mentioned programs can take a backup of your sms' and then restore them as they wore back to the phone.
I know that ericsson service-places can do this. Anyone who knows what program they use?
I have heard something about a "phonemanager" but I haven't managed to find it yet....

Hi
Just tried PhoneBackup and the SMS was saved and restored beautifully. Interestingly when I started PhoneBackup for the second time to restore the SMS it failed to recognise that the handset was connected (using cable) but it still restored the saved SMS. Unfortunately you cannot read the SMS text. It appears to be encoded.
This piece of software just keeps getting better...

I've tried this software, look pretty good except for one problem, I get a connection error everytime i try to use it!
I've checked the com ports and it even starts to communicate with my phone over IRDA but then fails!
Anyone know any really good contact managers or sms managers? If the above software worked it looks like it would be perfect!

To Jamojdm:
You have to configure your com port.
If you have an USB IRDA, you must use ircomm to expose the irda as a virtual com port (usually com5) and then select it in the program...
