It said on Nokia website and many other websites that the thickness of 3100 was around 15.4 mm and on SE site the thickness of T230 was given as 19 mm. But my friend who had gone to a phone shop had saw them both side by side and actually the T230 was much thinner than 3100 atleast by 1 mm. Actually 3100 and 2100 were almost of the same thickness. 2100 thickness is 22 mm. Then why the hell does Nokia give wrong specs. which many other online sellers too copy in their websites. I actually thought of buying the 3100 bcoz i thought it was thinner than T230 but the actual truth is the opposite. What a cheater? Now i realise actually why many people call NOKIA as BLOKIA and some also as *****.

Why don't you mail them and highlight the error. It maybe a genuine mistake? [addsig]

best thing anyone can do when looking to buy a phone is... write down every function/spec that you NEED, then write down things you would like. then go to esato.com, use the 'phone comparison list and/or phonefinder'. try and narow it down to 2 or 3, then visit your local phone shop and try out the working demos, most have em. and follow your heart. (exactly what i did)

the T230 is the best phone in the low end market.
i was personally amazed by the very good battery performance.
the phone it self is good. SE menu system, fast enough, nice screen (smaller then othere but thats ok), good buttons, great navigation key, small sized and very light, strong when droped and a very good price.

edit: RF is good, you've got more then 0.5MB free for use, i think you can recive emails but not 100% sure, you've got full MMS (you can add pages to the MMS so you can send more then 1pic via MMS). it has no irda (which is abit sad) but you can get a datacable which isn't that expencive.

my advize go for it

yes you can chance profiles and the phone has a max of +1MB of memory. and you can use from 500-800kb your self (some stuff is pre-installed and can't deleted)so thats more then enough.
phone numbers and messages our stored on a diffirent memory. up to 250 contacts. message memory is dependent on how big they are.

Actually Ayush, when I was writing a message on that thread a friend of mine came and told me abt how he had compared 3100 and T230 in a shop. Since we two were the ones seeing the specs yesterday, he also said abt the mistake on Nokia's site and asked me to post it on esato. So i created another thread. Actually I joined esato only in the afternoon and have already posted around 13 or 14 messages. Great isnt it. Ayush u can pm whenever u want.
