http://deadleech.com
Today is my first day doing anything with wml, and i haven't touched html in years, so its probably not all that grand - but so far its 6 or 7 pages, some of which have multiple cards. includes an email address so let me know if anything you would like to see is not there, or if there is something there that you dont want to see.

Please let me know what you think of it, and if you have any suggestions I would love to read em

Thanks!

heh.. useful is intentional... honestly.. its an acronym, which i haven't defined yet.

you should be able to hit 'more' and choose deadleech, and that takes you back to third card (from any of the pages,) but i will doublecheck and include a go to top of stack link.

also id like to try and get the image down to about 4 or 5 k without losing too much detail..save half a second load time ;p

Thanks!

When I was creating the site, i didn't have any signal on my phone, so i was writing kind of blind. I had two links to Wapchimp and wasn't sure which worked
just tested them and replaced the bad one with dj-boyi.

Thanks! I had forgotten to fix that.

I get various results on the speedtest too, it seems to depend on my signal level on the phone. i never get 60kbps though, you may be lucky enough to get compression of pages from your providor. thats cool if it really is that fast for you. i usually get about 5kbps-17kbps.

eek!
well, i am setting up a graffiti wall where people can leave messages and such, all anonymous. works fine on the desktop, and on the phone i can see the post form, and view left messages, but when i try to submit it says 'The address entered is invalid. Please retype and try again.'

I have changed many pieces of the code, removing symbolic pointers and replacing them with direct links (this is a php script, on apache 2) and it still works on desktop, but i can't get the phone piece to work.

Any thoughts on this?

edit: after extensive searching here, i found that this may be a problem with t610 phones, but those posts were from a while ago, @boyi it looks like you may have had a problem with this. did you fnid a solution? another way to code it maybe? :-|

Just a quick update.
I am actively going out, like a good wapmaster, on the hunt of useful types to add to my card. So this is being updated as often as i get new things. If you happen to be using the site (it could happen! and dont see anything new, check your cache settings or just select reload or refresh for the pages.

Currently adding:
Some additional tools links, traceroute, whois and such.. ya know. useful stuff.

some good forums (not strictly phone related) as i find them.

news sources

games (trivia!, text adventure, mmwrpgs) whatever i find that is good.

Also i have included the wordage for the site title. Some of the words are esoteric, so if you are too lazy to look them up I assure you it all makes sense together. only pushing it a /little/ bit

No fix yet for the graffiti wall. i will try to fix that this weekend.

I figured out how to set up .htaccess to discover mobile phone or web browser for default index page selection. The web side is very new, but will build up soon
