Motorola announces that three more of Britain’s Police Forces have chosen its latest Airwave terminal, the MTH800, for their officers to use on the Airwave public safety communications network. Less than three months after its launch at the TETRA World Congress in Denmark, November 2003, the MTH800 seems to be well on the way to becoming the terminal of choice in the latest round of decisions on portable terminals for UK police officers. Contract announcements made early in 2004 by Kent Police, Northamptonshire Police and Norfolk Constabulary were all in favour of the MTH800 - a winner as far as their officer evaluations were concerned. Its innovative features including a colour display and integral GPS to transmit an officer’s location should there be an emergency are just two the features contributing to the MTH800’s success.
