i have a Z200. i have a datacable. it doesnt work though.

the cable is installed correctly on my computer and i know this because it plugs in and windows XP tells me the cable is plugged in.

what software do i need on my computer to be able to transfer stuff between the two? and should my Z200 say anything on its screen?

has anyone used a datacable with a Z200 before or does it just not work?

Try Float's mobile agent. The phone won't tell you if a cable is connected. If transfer of picture is successful, you will see on the screen that it's asking you to confirm.

"sendfile" from christersson.org , you will also need to install mobile phone monitor from SE http://www.sonyericsson.com/downloads/mobile_phone_monitor.exe , and enable the COM port that corresponds to the cable.

I have a feeling that Z200 just doesn't support cable transfer of images. Good luck. Don't forget to change COM port speed to 9600 under device manager. Try that for Float's Mobile agent too.

I'm using a Tekram IRmate 210 with the IR port on my Z200 and it works great.
