well i had a siemens sl55 up for sale as i was going to get a new casing for it, the casing come and i replaced it but to my horror the screen is now very feint, the phones still working and you can see the insert sim card text / logo. the phone is in now mint condition as i bought the new casing and it looks so nice, i almost cired after i switched it on. i accidently caught the ribbon connecting the screen to the board an using a magnifying class can see that i have broken a track. you can get new phone screens for around £20 off of ebay etc or you may even be able to run a jumper wire from the screen to the circuit board??? or maybe just a new ribbon. i have taken pictures of the phone and tried to capture the fact that you can still see what it says but didnt really work, the screen still lights up but its just as if the contrast has been turned right down.
the phone is in MINT condition due to the new casing and does look nice, i would like £35 inc postage and would probs get this much on ebay as they go for £130ish when in decent condition.
any q's PM me
