laffen we have had loads of background logos sent to us from all over the world and we have done loads our self.
If you want the logos that you have done removed just let me know and i will take them of the site.

I too have seen loads of the images that I personally have created on websites all over the place. At first I was seriously miffed about this but I realised that there is absolutely no way to control the problem. My web site has an image submission facility just like many others. There is nothing to stop ordinary users copying an image from one site and submitting it to another.
Occasionally I come accross a site that is just a blatant leech from others. These are the bad boys. But again, I leave alone. After all, most of the images are copyright material anyway (company logos etc).
There, that's my tuppence worth.

I'm not saying that I have the copyright on the images, just that many new sites provides the same images found on existing websites. When we first set up this site, we had to create the logos ourself. There was no sites out there to copy from.. Today most of the images added to Esato come from user submission. And we don't have no way to find out where the images come from either.
Keep the images and good luck with your site. |

I agree with laffen..
Same here.. In the beginning I created all logos for my site (and still do), but in the user submitted area I've got logos from a lot of other sites..
Anyway, a nice thing that happend was a couple of guys from Norway that actually asked if they could take the logos from my site.. They where about to open their own logo site. So why not? Give the user what they want..

I know what you mean too
Some guys actually asked me too, if they could use some of my logos.
I'm quite allright with that. Just as long as someone doesnt steal them all, and put them on their OWN website !
I put logos on my website, so that people can use them,..thats basically what they are there for.
I think people are generally very honest about it,..they usually write me and ask about it.
Even the drawings and other stuff, I have on the site.
