While digital music streamers are nothing new HomePod's cross-platform support is a nice feature, with even Linux, xBSD, and Solaris options available (at least according to eHomeUpgrade. The HomePod site mentions only Linux, although perhaps the GLOO Media Server software is available for cross-compiling).
