Has anyone else had this problem? Basically i have installed all the modem drivers, and all the monitoring software for the phone. I can access the phone alright thorugh IRDA and cable to change the image and sort out the setting and phone book. However when i try to use it as a modem, the phone shows its dialing the number then as soon as it says its connecting, it cut off. The PC is still trying to dial through the ports. This tells me the phone is the problem. Is there anything you have to do to the phone to activate it as a modem?

assuming that you have configured your data accounts (GPRS or CSD) there is nothing else to configure (except to activate Ir if you're using it) on the phone. what operating system are you using (95, 98, xp, nt) ?

I'm using 2000. I mean it starts to connect, as in u get to see it dial, but as soon as the number is shown it cuts off. So the IR is on?!?!? So confused as i have done everthing that i should have. Is it that i could have a faulty phone?
