Hey guys, as stated above, i would like to do that, or buy a cell phone, then unlock it....any tips on where or how to do that? And btw, i'm outside the US country, so any tips would be useful. Thanks

buy a phone without a contract and it will always be unlocked.
do mexican providers always lock their phones? or can you buy one unlocked from any store as well? Even with contract?

And yeah mexican providers always lock their phone, from the moment u buy the cell phone it will be locked to the service provider from where u bought it.

well..... obviously if you bu it WITHOUT contract they cannot possibly lock it to any provider can they?

yesh, you should be able to buy it sim-free, do you have pay as go providers in mexico, or are they contract only?

or, maybe there are some mobile phone stores at yr town... u know, the ones that sold only the handset without any sim card... surely, there must be at least one shop at yr town.... |

Yeah i have pay as u go in my country.
But I need to buy an unlocked cell phone in US and bring it over my country to use it here, just like i bought it here. I need to know in what places i can get this.
And, what does if I can buy unlocked cell phones in my country has to do with my post? hahaha

Well, i'm asking where to get an unlocked cell phone cheap? (i dont know what model though, thinking bout it). If i could get it in here or where to get one, so I could buy it and then use it in my country with "pay-as-u-go" with a service provider.
