Quick question
Do the screensavers run as well on the t610 as they do on the site (before i've known animated screensavers to run really slow on the t610), and do they take up loads of memory (like most other screensavers)?

nice and fast screensavers.
but they take too much memory in the phone.
screensaver1 (blog.gif) 100 kb in pc but 379 kb in phone.
screensaver2 (kalidascope.gif) 124 kb in pc but 461 kb in phone.
they are very big files for t610. |

reason for the size of the screensavers would be the same for the reason why pictures increase in size when on phone, nothing that can be done to solve it.
Alloy screensaver looks sweet.

I don't understand WHY u would use screensaver on T610. It has absolutely no purpose. The screen turns black anyway, so what's the point with screensaver???

Roobi:
What do you think could be done to make the downloading process easier?
I am in a tricky position you see because making cool themes and screensavers such as on my site requires a lot of time and actually a fair bit of money (the software for example, then there's the web design, the hosting, the domain etc etc.) Obviously the themes and screensavers will always will free, I don't think anyone would pay for a theme would they? So the way I try and make some money to cover time and expenses is through the adverts at the top. At the moment its really not providing enough revenue to make it worth while carrying on designing themes, but of course I will try so keep checking! But my point is if I was to have a wap directory then people would just visit that rather than my site first thus further reducing the chance of me making enough money through the ads on the page. I know it sounds like I'm scavenging for more money but you have to realize that I am getting no more than a few dollars a week, if that, through the site.
So, I do value your ideas and if anyone has any ideas of how to bring in some much needed revenue through this I would be very grateful.
Regarding the size of the screensavers and the performance of them on the T610. Yes they do run slower on the phone compared to in your browser. But they still look really cool, (I have the while alloy one on my phone right now) and its a real head turner, the movements and shapes always attract the eye. And yes they are large, but they are nice! And high quality motion graphics means that they will be a bit bigger in size than your standard little two frame pictures.
I think the added size is a worthy compromise for such high quality animations.
Isah:
Having a screensaver on your phone just makes it a bit more interesting, because before the clock comes on the screensaver comes on (still while the backlight is on) and makes it look really cool.
I value your feedback, all of you, and hope those of you who appreciate my work enjoys the free themes and screensavers at t610themes.co.uk
Best Wishes,
Ben
