perform a master reset on your phone. that may do the trick. however, all the other settings will revert back to factory settings. risky.

I don't think you can do it..... even if you go to master reset.

Master reset won't do it, I've tried that several times, neither would the 'select flip, reset 1/2' in the service settings.

Would a firmware update reset the flip count? I need to know because I'll soon be buying a used phone...

hey, i stand corrected then! i just thought, by conjecture, that a MASTER reset would RESET everything! guess i was wrong, thanks for the correction. hehe. i guess the only way then is to have the hardware replaced or altered, right?

a software update will not reset the counter... can be some similair way for the T39 as it is for T68 (in the case with T68 servicepoints have the possibility to reset the joystick counter), I haven't checked the EMMA server any closer for a counter reset to T39 (and can't do it until monday since we have a power failure at work)...

Any suggestions as to how to reset the joystick counter on the T68 and the flip counter on the T39 will certainly be most appreciated by all forum members. Lusipher my friend, you certainly cannot be fooled into buying a "used" Ericsson now, but you will certainly be able to sell your used one easier if the counter has been reset. Besides, don't you reset the timers when you sell your old phone?

So cytech, any news on your \"investigation\" by monday would be appreciated. I am considering giving my t39 as a present and would like to reset everything if possible. Thnks!

@haki - i couldn't agree with you more. It would be nice if one can reset everything when reselling your phone. Besides, you know that it was well taken cared of.
