After the launch of 3G networks in many countries, concept phones focusing on unbelievable or future features are rarely seen in telecom
trade shows. The mobile phone manufacturers turn to focus on more practical but innovative designs. http://www.designafairs.de/ From Germany has been helping Siemens to design new phones according to the principle of practical but creative phone style. Some of them has been chosen and became real in the mobile phone market, while many of them are in the planning stage. We got the concept phones images from Designafairs headquarter in Germany. Concept 001 : Summer Times Communication
Sharing hot topics among your friends is like enjoying the sun bath. The designer includes that feeling in the design concept of new outdoor phone. It looks like a long beach chair under the sun, waiting for the best friends to share around. In the standby mode, the beach chair is extended, seeming that friends will call you for dating. In the actual use, it becomes a watch phone. With camera and color display color, real time video call can be achieved too.
Concept 002 : Simplified PIM phone
The executive persons are the supporters of advanced mobile phones. However, they like the simplified design also. The kind of PDA phone is simple enough. Only numeric keys are located in the front size. All advanced features, key layouts can be found after opening the flip.
Concept 003 : Simple Watch phone
Not everyone welcomes extraordinary design, while most of them want to try some hi-tech gadgets. Designer of that watch phone joined these two extreme cases into a new watch phone design. The simple watch includes a clever screen capable to show caller Ids or color images. Bluetooth adaptors can be added to the left and right sides to transfer the voice signals to the handsfree set. Simplicity mixes hi-tech gadgets.
Concept 007 : powder compact phone original design
Do you remember the powder compact design Xelibri 6? Two mirrors inside the cover are for the ladies to finish her dressing. From the concept phones by DesignaFairs , we found one which may the original design of Xelibri 6. The could-be original one is inspired by a hodmadod. We can see a little hole under the screen in the reference design. Perhaps the cost, Siemens finally canceled that extra thing.
Concept 010 : mobile from the space
I always make a joke to our friend. I believe in one day, a mobile phone can fly. Siemens and DesignaFairs have the same idea with me. This reference design model has a strange keypad. When it swings out, It look likes a space ship. Actually, it would be a highend model, with bluetooth technology and color screen.

Alright! Now were talking! Cool phones, but I would probably not buy one! I mean, I want a phone to look like a cool phone and my watch to look like a watch! Otherwise I will get confused!

The candy handsets does not emphasize on advanced features but the color covers. The slim bar looks like candy chocolate. Watch it, want it, and eat it!

"Retro classics" becomes a main stream in the modern design. Siemens mobile phone designer also follows that trend. The old earphone changes to a modern mobile phone handset. The screen is small only for showing caller ID, dates information. We cannot say it is hi-tech, but only for memorable for past old age.
Concept 006 : Xelibri Smartphone version
The most famous item for the Siemens Xelibri phones is the strange handset design. Features are the second important things. If this design is approved, The possibility to launch Siemens Xelibri smarpthone will be very high. The keypad and the cover can be opened to the left. After that, we can see the touch screens for data input. Turn the handset back, a ¡§X¡¨ (Xelibri) logos is printed in the back. Xelibri Smartphone, Do you want it?
