I have gone through the search and all the posts regarding the installation of these file on my P900 but I havent seen any clear directions of how to install them.
Both type of files are not recognised by windows. Do I need a software or something...?

Sony Ericsson phones don't need the jad file, its just a file that describes the jar file
I just beam the jar file to the P900 and then go to the beamed folder in messages and click on it to install.

Can I just use the cable and place them in a custom folder of mine and then click on it? Or it has to be infared/bluetooth?
***UPDATE***
I just transfered the file to a custom folder via cable and clicked on it. The jar file is now is installed.
Nice.

ok, but the usual way is to drag the jar file from windows explorer to either "phone memory" or "memory stick" (but not to not any particular folder) in the "My P900" explorer
you can then go on the phone to applications, install and it is listed there for you to choose
