I overheard someone say they could change the channels on their tv with their t610 via infrared. This couldnt be done could it?! If so, how?

Only with p800 and p900
for the t610 there is no such application

its a common question, please take a read of some of these many previous threads

edit: and even on P800 and P900 its not that successful due to the low power of the IR
