Now smartphone Mitac Mio 8380 seems to start measuring radiation and search for nuclear bombs!

Moreover it connects to Decision Support System which helps to identify terrorists and radioactive and nuclear materials smuggling.

The пл1801 is a personal gamma radiation detector with the high sensitive spectrometer designed for detection, locating and identification of the radioactive sources. Being equipped with the detector based on CsI(Tl) of 1 inch height and diameter the пл1801 is capable to perform the functions of alarming ratemeter and detect even the small gamma radiation sources as well as locate them easily and to identify their isotopic composition in the field conditions. The пл1801 is the independent multipurpose tiny search identifier which ensures performing the main procedures of radiation control.

The пл1801 allows sending the spectrum file to DSS on-line for identification on server or automatically or with the help of an expert in cases when it is impossible to perform identification in the field conditions or results of fast identification are not sufficient to make an appropriate decision.

The пл1801 allows performing on-line accumulation of the gamma spectra of isotopic composition of radiation source and save these spectra in its memory for their transmission to DSS for further processing and identification using the special expert software.

That's crazy. Is the measuring bit detachable?
