GSM to RJ11 cable |

I want to know if there's a cable which can connect my Z600 or T68i to for example a fax, so this fax can use the gsm to send faxes. This means that I'm looking for a cable which has on one side a connector for my phone and on the other side a rj11 plug, which I can plug into the fax. I also have a nokia 3310 in my drawer, so if someone knows this cable for that phone you are also welcom.
Thanx in advance |

Your idea is a great one, but not posible.
The GSM network uses a digital means of sending and reciving noise (your voice) which cuts off part of the noise, to conserve bandwidth. The loss of noise is undetectable by human ears but your fax wont be able to communicate via it.
Were you to setup your phone as a modem for you laptop then you could send faxes from your laptop.
However your phone has to have a compatible modem in it.
Such as the t68i.

I understand that the phone has to have a modem in it. With a laptop you can use bluetooth, IR or direct cable to connect phone to laptop and use the phone to dial in to Internet or to fax. So in theorie it must be possible to have a direct cable which doesn't have a RS232 or USB side, but on that side a rj11 plug. Maybe I can try to make on myself, but then I need to know which cable is used for which purpose.
I someone knows more info please reply. |
