if you compare different hw version on T68m you'll see some differences as well... just a different component, but it has the same function...

It can be the:
*Same component, but from another manufacturer or the manufacturer changer the specs of it, but same functions.
*Can also be that new circuit they changed in T68i, that the only known HW difference between T68m/T68i
Does it say what brands the components are?

Screen are ,ot the same, they do not have the same reference. There is a specific reference for t68i and t68m.

they have the same article number... but different version numbers... display for T68m has R1A while the display for T68i has R3A |

No difference in function. Look inside the first Sony Playstation and compare it to the last one. Totally different. Manufacturers constantly try to reduce cost and component count with same functionality. Thats electronics for you. |

Can you get a better image of the chips?
Would be interesting to see what is written on the chips. May be possible to find their technical specs somewhere.

The original T68i had the small chip as well

i have the T68 and got a replacement from orange and was changing the cover and the chip inside is the same as the pic for the t68i , so later t68's have the same chip as t68I |
