Hi, i have been looking 4 some information on how to become a game tester. I cannot find anything! Does anybody have any info? Thanks.

I'm not absolutley sure about how to become a game tester, but I should imagine that any background within the gaming industry would at least help.

Have you considered writing game reviews for a web site or magazine? I've been a reviewer for quite a few years now. It's great fun, it's good to have on your CV and if you play your cards right, you can get plenty of free games too!

I'm currently with a site called www.acegamez.com. Have a look at this link and if you like what you see, submit a few reviews and see what happens:

16? Game testr? Dream on. 1st of all, 2 do it as a job, I think u have 2 have a background & beat games @ lightspeed or somethin

It's not impossible. A guy I went to school with is a play-tester for Acclaim (I think).

All he had to do was loads of free beta-testing, identifying bugs (he has a background in programming), and get his own game released on the Playstation.

Only after all this did he get offered a 6-month trial contract.
