Help! I'm swimming in terms I barely understand.

I've got a T616 and have been using AT&T's Office Online for well over a year. Needed it for Outlook Calendar, Contacts and seeing e-mail (it's not great for really reading and responding with any length), liked it for files, but couldn't get Outlook Calendar to display, and neither could about 12 AT&T "advance tech" people. I lived with Contacts, mail and files alone.

Now I got an iPAQ (1945) running Pocket PC 2003 with Bluetooth, loaded it with something called Running Voice GSM and can access the Internet. So I logged onto Office Online ("StartOfficeOnline.com"), and can now get Mail, Contacts, Files, and Calendar in a much more useful and quicker format. Great, but why do I need Office Online? Do I need Office Online? I really like getting the "alerts" that let me know that an e-mail is out there waiting for me, and I don't want to lose that. But I can't even figure out how to get the iPAQ to access my home e-mail (on SBC Yahoo! DSL that I get and send through my Outlook at home) when everybody says that's the easy part.

Onjce I'm set up and have a rudimentary understandiung, I fcan function self sufficiently for a while, but I'm at a point where my iPAQ is just an expensive paperweight and I'm still checking Office Online through my phone. I really feel like I'm on the verge but can't over that hump.

Can any of you help? iPAC can't and AT&T can't/won't. Im desperate.
