I'm having some problem while connecting my laptop (Infra) with my T68.
The Infrared will just disconnect by itself after a while in less than a minute. (All the nescessary software has been installed and the infrared port works well with some other devices, palm, Ipaq. etc)

I've tried to connect my T68 with my Ipaq 3860, and its run perfectly well.

Can someone help.........

Ok here is some tips that might help other desperate T68 owners.

I have also experienced huge problems syncing via the infrared (IRda) interface on T68 (Latest firmware), Outlook and Windows XP!!. the solution however was hard work tweaking and trying other software than the official T68, such as T65 which seems to work alot better.

I still get problems when it tries to do a slow-sync, and it can easily take me 20-30 minuttes before I get fully synced.. but after that the quick-sync works fine.. (slow sync occurs on first sync, or if last sync was a failure)

also if the sync software suddenly stops to get user input, be sure to respond quickly as this can also cause the IRda connection to close.

when uploading images to the phone I have always had to set my IRda speed down to 9.6k which is the lowest setting. for outlook sync I use the fastest speed as upper limit. (Backgrounds should be made in websafe colours, exactly which websafe scheme I don't know..)

I have frequently discussed the various problems with Ericsson support, but the best answer I have gotten from them is:
"The T68 handset is not yet compatible with Windows XP.. enjoy your phone!!!" - which obviously isn't what we settle for!

p.s. On the new Siemens phone, you can download Firmware from their website!! That rocks!!
