One more question here: during long internet transfers the phone housing is quite warming. Somewhere I've read lithium batteries are squeamish to high temperatures. Can these operation conditions shorten bat. life any way? Thanks

As long as it doesn't get hot to the touch it shouldn't have much affect on batt life.

Don't use your phone while charging. To prolong the life of your battery.

Hi, When I purchased my phone at timtechs one of their tech support told me not to charge the battery unless it's really empty. Recharging the phone while there's still battery left will shorten the life span of your battery and you have to keep in mind to put it away from other appliances as this drains the battery (people have a habit of putting the phone on top/ beside the fridge or TV). Also if you are worried that your phone will run out of battery while you are outside and you badly needed your phone but you cannot recharge your phone since your battery is still halfway empty then you can always buy a spare battery and use it alternately with the original battery of your phone making sure of course to have it fully charged as you go. Hope this helps
