Thanks for explaining it to me fully @shawo - Those were very nice websites, thanks again for sparing some time locating those! About that 'DAB', I just made a wild guess about what I knew of it's meaning. The very first thing that entered my mind, was the brand of white soap! So, I refreshed my mind a bit, and asked myself, what will the soap do with radio transmitting ? ? ? Until you gave the full-explanation. Viva @shawo(rsky) !

I'd get a DAB unit but I hardly listen to radio and when I do its usually via the net because I'm rarely in the same country as the radio stations I listen to!

btw, is it like normal radio where you can use the same unit anywhere in the world?

just for interest, how much info do you get on the display apart from the song title and artist?

I only bought the DAB to pick up Kiss FM (London) and im gettin a alot more other stations to which cannot be picked up here in Birmingham! Its a great thing to have worth every penny!!! ;-)

@miss uk
You're lucky to live in the uk! Free DAB and Freeview(was ITV digital) here in the netherlands they just started a DAB test with only 3channels:-( but i can also recieve DAB from belgium and that sounds good(a bit to much compression.thats a shame) DAB can be used anywhere outside the UK where available.its a international digital transmission standard for audio.i have SKY DIGITAL so i can also listen to the many radiostations available in the UK in hifi quality

I must agree. The DABs ive had in the past were all fantastic. The little red lolly is just so perfectly designed as to allow just enough sherbet to be removed from the bag and consumed at each dip. Sherbet fountains, part of the same family, are also quite nice, though i tend to throw away the yucky liquorice stick and use my fingers instead. [addsig]

I have got DAB radio.

Its koool. A lot of stations compared to the analogue radios and the sound is clear and crisp. As, for the favourite radio stations, I listen mostly to BBC channels as well as KISS, Smash Hits and some others. If you haven't go DAB yet, go grab one, u won't regret it.
