Hey
I have a problem, I am going to get a new phone, but I have a hard time deciding which one to get. I am quite taken with Nokia 6230 and the Siemens SX1, but which one?
I would appreciate it a lot if you could help me out.

Which one would you suggest?
Please put your love for SE aside, and tell me which one of these 2 you would prefer and why.

Thanks a lot
Cheers

If u r gonna watch movies and install apps for work and play, go for the sx1. For normal stuff with mp3 playback and BT, go for the 6230.

I love to take pictures, send them to my computer and use them to make backgrounds ect.

I also send lots of SMS´s (about 4000 per month), and to save a lot of those that I recieve, so it needs to have good buttons, and I have to be able to make new folders for all the messages.

I would also like that the one I pick, is one that I can have for quite some time without feeling that I need to buy another one. That it wont fall behind right away...

Which is the best at fullfilling these needs?

P.S. I have a Nokia 3650 right now

Well During the last year I´ve owned a Panasonic GD87, a SE T610, a SE P800 and a Nokia 3650, so the symbian is not a must at all, I just want a phone that I can be satisfied with for a long time, without feeling that I have to buy a new one...

as you send an sms every 15 minutes of every day, or is it every 10 minutes of your waking hours, I would have thought you were far too busy for all of this

What kind of comment is that??

Surely you can imagine that I send long messages, which contains several messages (the longest one 36), and type pretty fast...

well, I just think you figure of 4000/month is unlikely. For one thing at a uk rate of 10p per message that's £400/month. If you get tariff's of 3p per message that is still £120/month. Seems very unlikely to me.
I'm sure you do text message a lot, I just doubt it is as much as you said. 130 messages a day

but anyway, if texting is so important to you, I'd recommend a nokia with traditional keypad over a siemens.

If ease of use when typing smss' is the main factor, go for the 6230.

I choose the Nokia 6230, and I love it, except for the smaller display.
I pay 12 pounds per. month to my phone company, and then I am free to write as many SMS messages as I feel like, not MMS messages though. So therefore I can afford to write as amny as I do...
Seriously, I have no reason to lie or brag about how many I write, but I write over 4000 per month...

Get a SX1. Nokias date the easiest as they are so common.

Go for SX1. If you were able to write so many sms on 3650, you'll be able to do it on this one. And it's well equipped smartphone...
