Is there such a thing as a BT hard drive? Instead of installing a drive in your pc you can just put it wherever you want? It could be used by pc's, mobiles & PDA's.

Toshiba and a couple of other companies have a bluetooth hard drive but I'm not sure what profile is required to access so am unsure if it would be accessible from mobile phones

I was thinking about this also, then i was wondering about it. You could make a BT hard drive, but how would you get power to it? Its external from the comp, and you cant hook up a power supply directly to a hard drive, so how would you get power to it?

You will notice that Expansys dont mark the drive as compatible with any SE device, including the P900.
The P900 is only desighned to comunicate with other like devices, or via serial (or serial over USB/Bluetooth). It would take some pretty radical software to allow these devices to work together, maybe on the P1500 or later we will see support for drives larger than a few hundred mb!
Good work finding the device GOwin. |
