I've got a se t316 phone and a laptop running windows xp. I've downloaded modem scripts and the dial up connection wizard from the sony ericsson website and set up a dial-up connection. Whenever I connect, I cannot browse with internet explorer, it says the page cannot be displayed and I can't connect to any websites. Could you please help me to browse the intenet on my laptop over gprs.???

This is such a general question. You need to ask your service provider what the GPRS settings are, for COMPUTER use, not WAP. Many providers have different settings (the APN) when you want to use GPRS with your computer. |

Well I've already contacted my phone company's customer service and they're telling me to do everything I've already done. They don't seem to know what the problem is. They also said they don't have anymore settings other than the one that I am already using on my phone. This is getting real frustrating because I use the internet a lot. So I'd gladly appreciate any more help. |

If you are in north america, go to howardforums.com and search the settings there. Most common problem is people put an IP address under data account, where it should usually be left blank.
I assume your IR works and you are able to send/receive picutres/contacts with it. |
