Using DRS Cable and WinXP |

Hi all, great forum...
A question...
I'm using the DRS cable and Windows XP, and I'm having trouble getting the two to communicate. I've only successfully had it Sync Outlook contacts/calendar etc a few times but not all the time.
The cable is on COM1 (using standard settings)
The MPM rarely states the phone is online (with a tick on the icon is systray) I've tried rebooting with the phone connected, searching for new hardware, and turning the phone on and off while connected, but I rarely get any results.
Any ideas guys? where am I going wrong?
Many thanks

I purchased the DRS-10 because I use Windows XP. It works great for me. Did you check:
1. Control Panel -> Phone Monitor Options -> COM ports tab if the Port is enabled (and sometimes needs to be Reserved)
2. Have you run the Ericsson Phone Settings and was the phone recognized? |

Yep, the phone is there, but only sees it occasionally...
All I wanna do is send pics to it |

I bought it this week-end.
I installed Package 4 and 5 + Mypictures and Emelodys.
All work fine with WinXp. Nothing to configure. Just plug the cable.
I love this cable. All my contacts are very clear now. And I have a nice Bmw M3 as Background ! (thanks to esato). |

I plug it in, and nothing happens... I try Sync with Outlook, and SOMETIMES it says it does it (phome says its syncing) etc...
I DL'd Package 4...
OK, I'll try package 5 and see
Thanks
