hey all, currently trying to connect my ericsson t610 to my pc via bluetooth so i can hook it up to outlook and get all my contacts across.
issue is i dont know how to get my synch software to find my bluetooth, any suggestions. It basically goes to synchronise (using the software that comes in the box), searches and searches and then nothing happens.
and i know both the bluetooth pc device works, and the bluetooth on my phone as i can manually send pix from camera to computer.

HELP PLEASE

if software that comes with bluetooth dongle is properly installed, and you have propper usb device for your computer(older computers use USB 1.1 or 1.0 and new ones have 2.0 - 1.1 bluetooth device should work on a 2.0 USB but other way it will not work),then some other programs maybe causing trouble(for example i had problem with computer that had Wingate and only after i uninstalled Wingate i could use bluetooth)
Just try to check everything before connecting.

Try connecting to the T610 serial port from your pc. Once the two are connected via the serial port, the Sync software will automatically detect the phone...

I found that on my first synch with Outlook I had to open the serial port on my phone (through the bluetooth software) and then open outlook and do the synch - I think its something to do with having to guide Outlook to the port.

Failing that there is a good step by step thread somewhere here......?
