you set the bluetooth passcode at the time you pair with another device.
The passcode can be different for each device that you pair with

The general passcode is 0000 i wouldnt suggest to change, but if it is, u can make it at settings when the headset is connected btw welcome ;-)

Depends what you wanna connect with. When I'm pairing my z600 with HF, I just put four 0 and its done. And its d same with other devices. When pairing - both will show request for it. No need to do it earlier.

first i was trying to connect up to my firends nokia 6600 and it asked for a passcode.
I think i know what i done wrong.
Im getting a bluetooth usb dongle for the computer is this going to ask for the passcode when i try to connect? |

If you're going to PAIR the devices (=make them 'trusted' devices to one another) it will ask you a passcode.
For items such as phones or pc's or laptops and such (where each device has a keyboard) you can make up your own passkey and just enter the same code on each device.
For pairing with devices that do NOT have a keyboard(such as headsets or carkits) you'll need to check the devices manual (headset or carkit manual) for the default pairing code.
