Just wondering. My personal reason is because I have put too much time, effort and money into it. I have unlocking kits for them, and have spent lots of time on themes and ringers for them.
Also, I can't have themes on other brands of phones!!!
I love my SE, it treats me right! Why do you love yours?

im a NOKIA user before. they are good phones though but the one thing i hate about them is that they easily get DEVALUED unlike Sony Ericsson phones. SE has more class than the competitors. |

I will admit that I was one of the first people who felt that since the merger, SE designs haven't been the greatest out there... with the P900 and T610 being the only 2 models that could even come close to the classic Ericsson designs.
And I also admit that design is one of the key elements in why I switched to Ericsson way back in 1996, and I've stuck with them ever since. But mind you, I said one of the elements not THE ONLY element. Design is important to me... but it comes second to technology. Features come in as the 3rd element I consider. (Yes, features and technology are 2 totally different elements)
Nokia's last cool looking phone for me was the 8110.. it's successors don't count since only minor changes were made since... so yes, I do think the 8910 looks cool. But 'looks' is where it all ends. I'd say it was like having a REAL dumb-blonde. (Mind you, not all blondes are dumb...and not all dumb people are blonde)
If I had to choose between SE and Nokia, SE wins hands down. Without even blinking an eye. BUT... the new Siemens line-up has caught me eye, and they may not have the technology or features of SE... they do offer a great compromise between design and technology. I'm looking at the new M65 to replace my Ericsson R310. And unless SE shows the successor of the P900, with a much slimmer profile (under 22mm) ... I am considering the S65 vs. the K700. Yes, the K700 does have better tech, but the S65 does look sleeker. And only sacrifices the screen for it...but makes up for it with expandable memory. I'm not too fond of Sony's MS Duo (or MS for that matter) ... it's too slow and too small. Sony should've just stuck to manufacturing and marketing improvements in SE ...not design and technology.
I'm still happy with my P800... I'm still thinking about the P900 upgrade being that it looks better, and has a better screen.
Back to your question on why not Nokia? Well, cuz it's a Nokia! If all you want is a 'cool' looking phone, then buy a Nokia dummy phone, tie a string to one end, and the other end to a can. Give the can to your friend... and you've basically got a fully working Nokia right there... except this one has better battery life than the real thing!

Smart people use SE, dumb people use Nokia...
...as per my observation.
PS there are no "cool nokias" |

'cause I'd have to buy at least 3 different N****s to do all things my T610 can do...
Only prob I have with the T610 is, that everyone seems to have one now |

Funny, I don't mind seeing a lot of people with SE phones... whether it's all P800, P900, T610, etc... it's just nice seeing the little green ball all over the place.

i bought my first nokia 3310 and after that whichever nokia i looked at had the same interface. I used nokia 6610 and it was like using the 3310 again. Nothing NEW even though i bought the new phone.
So u got my point. SE are constantly changing the UI for something better. even they changed the K700 (as it looks from the keys i.e the vibrator, lock functions) key function layout even though the T610 was a great success
So with SE every time u buy a new phone u feel like using one.
Also the price of SE is better compared to NOKIA if u compare the features of both.
Just use SE and u'll find the difference |
