Is my cable faulty? |

I've just bought a DRS-11 to connect my T68 to my desktop PC.
As it didn't seem to work, I thought I would connect it to my laptop (which can sync o.k. via IR), but it can't find my phone at all - I suspect that the cable may be faulty - anyone got any advice on how I can test it? - also, should the phone 'react' when I plug the cable in (as it does when connecting a hands-free)?
Thanks in advance... |

Please don't forget to enable the COM port where the cable is connected. Go to Control Panel -> Phone Monitor Options -> COM ports (TAB) |

Thanks GOwin - I checked what happened and IR was deactivated when I attached the cable, so I guess it's doing something - I checked the COM port as suggested by arnoldc - it's enabled (and I normally connect a Palm via that port so I know it's o.k.) - looks as if I'll have to keep on trying. |

Close the hotsync icon for the palm desktop. I think the phone monitor wants exclusive use of the port.

GOwin - I owe you several drinks - as soon as hotsync was closed down, it worked like a dream - many, many thanks! |
