I've had my current Nokia 6210 for a year now and so it is time to upgrade.

I am looking to upgrade to the Ericsson T68. I have talked with my Network provider and they have agreed that they can do me a deal for £99.99 (British Pounds). They also want to buy my old Nokia 6210 off me for £58.75.

My Network provider does not currently have the T68i. It will come out in TWO weeks time (end of May 2002). I am aware that I will be able to update the software on the T68 and make it identical to the T68i in functionality. The T68i will probably be on sale at a higher price than the T68 when it will be available on my Network.

I want some opinions before I make my choice. Should I upgrade my phone to the T68 at the cheap price I have been offered or should I wait for the T68i to come out and pay a bit more and upgrade to that instead? Will it be worth paying about £30 more to upgrade to T68i instead of upgrading to the T68 at a much cheaper price?

Also, do you think I should keep my Nokia 6210 with me? Or should I sell it to my Network provider for £58.75? I kind of liked the phone for it's Dynamic memory. I could store 500 numbers and save 160 text messages on it. Is it worth keeping or should I sell it?

Any kinds of comments welcomed.

Cheers

Welcome to ESATO!

I suggest you browse thru the threads and use the SEARCH function.

Your questions have been asked (and answered aplenty) many times before.

Cheers.

Hey Gowin, thanks for the welcome and the suggestion...

but that's the first thing I did!! I don't think you understand what I am asking.

I want an opinion based on MY circumstances. Let me put my question in another way....

If you didn't have the T68 or the T68i and I offered you the T68 for a much cheaper price than the T68i, would you go for it, or would you still insist on paying more money to get the T68i??

I mean, come on, why pay more when you can buy the same thing cheaper and all you need is a sofware update?

The i version is being sold at a cheaper price than the m. Dont you wonder which parts got replaced by cheaper ones? The looks would be your preference.
