Panasonic (Matsushita Electric) announces 1GB SD-Card at CeBit.
The product launch is scheduled for April in the Japanese market, followed by distribution elsewhere in the world starting in May. Price will be around $499.

oh my god, for $500 you can but a portable 250gb hard drive. But that is one small storage space for a gb. Anyone planning on purchasing that? haha

Sandisk have had a 1Gb SD card for a couple of months now and I have been watching prices as I am keen to add one to the 2 512mb cards I have now but they are still too expensive for me.
They are available on ebay for around 229 pounds but are coming down in price every couple of weeks

Quite expensive for an SD Card there. At the price it is going, I can already buy a second hand SE P800 or a Nokia 9210i - complete, fone here in Manila !
