Just wondering if the p900 will work in the Philly area, on the cingular network. I have heard two different answers. |

I have the P900 and use it with Tmobile, and Im in New Jersey, close to Philly, so it should work wherever you are, as long as the phone is unlocked. |

I live in the Philly area on T-mo with no problems. Was on ATT which shared towers with Cingular around where I live and also had no problems. I beleive once ur P900 is unlocked, u should be able to use it on any service.
Life gives u a thousand chances, all u need 2 do is take one. (PA, USA - P900 T-Mobile) |

That is a link to an UNLOCKED P900 for sale alone... Also, that is a reseller, not actually Cingular themselves.
As I thought, there still aren't any network operators in the US that offer the P900.

But it isn't Cing-u-lar offering the phone. It is a re-sell-er.

@richy - fisrt of all let me just say great responce, very funny. ok, no it's not a "cingular" store, but it is a cingular sim with a cingular contract. there are stores like this around me that i get my phones and accessories from as well. the only time i go to the actuall "cingular" store is for warranty issues

Oh yeah - the retail store I frequent here in Houston is a reseller. Steve (the owner; http://www.phonewarehouse.com) sells T-Mobile, AT&T, Cingular, etc. and gives a $200 discount on any phone available if you sign up on contract.
But he is a reseller. He sells Cingular services, yes. But he is not Cingular himself.
This is not uncommon.
