I'm trying to sync a T68i with Outlook 2003, running on Windows 2000 SP3. I've got a bluetooth USB dongle which is "powered by Windigo". I've installed Blue Manager 3.1a, and it can see the T68i, and I've also installed the Sony Ericsson Comms Suite 1.5.9.2, but I can't work out how to get a bluetooth serial port working in Win 2K.

Blue Manager shows "Bluetooth COM Port - Serial" as being on COM3. I've enabled and reserved COM3 in the Sony Phone Monitor, but Outlook still can't see the T68i - presumably because I haven't set up the serial port correctly.

Other sources give instructions on setting up the serial port from the "My Bluetooth Places" facility. I don't have this facility, after installing Windigo and the Sony Ericsson Suite. Is "My Bluetooth Places" something that I should be seeing somewhere in Win2K? If not, where/how do I define my bluetooth serial port?

TIA for any guidance

My bluetooth places should be in My Computer with a shortcut on your desktop chances are you will have to reinstall the bt software and if u have the option of bt adapter you should try it instead of the blue manager hope this helps.

Yes that's where I was expecting to find it - it doesn't show up under My Computer or the Desktop.

I've installed Blue Manager (and the Sony Suite), about 5 times now (!), so I don't think it's going to appear.

what do you mean by this? The Windigo software doesn't give me any installation options. Is there any other s/w that I should be trying?
