Most SE handsets have an SMS outbox which saves unsent, SMS messages to the SIM drive.

Usually about 1600 space characters are devoted to this storgae function.

This space can be used to save 10 or more, traditional, 5 line, address "cards".

A unique formating rule is necessary to bring back a traditional address card format because the entry mask is set to input an unformatted text entry but the rules are easy and understandable: Always drive the cursor past the automatic wrap feature and one space to the right of the left margin before beginning your next line of text/data entry.

Numberic vaules come back underlined but this is a small inconvienence compared to the gain.

Since SE GSM handset firmware does not partition the SIM drive, any storage utilized for these "address cards" will lessen the total available storage space for other memory functions.
