Z600 Infrared laptop failure |

Hi. Got a Compaq Presario 1500 & a Z600. Infrared on Z600 turned on. Put next to laptop Infrared (built in). Nothing. Phone talks to Clie UX50 fine. But not to laptop. Laptop talks to Clie UX50 fine so know the Infrared ports work on all 3 things. Just can't get laptop to recognise when phone is there so can't send stuff between them.
XTNDConnect won't recognise my IR port on my laptop as it's not a COM port (it's built in so Win XP Pro doesn't list it as a COM device) so can't user that to synchronise either.
Any ideas guys?
Am I a complete idiot?

I use the Fujitsu-siemens Amilo d 1840 and have the same problem, allthough XP briefly recognizes the z600, flashing the IR icon for some 10 secs.
My other phone, Samsung sgh-s300, works fine over irda.

Unfortunately, I've had the same problem with friend's Presario 1500. There was no way how to connect my z600 with this notebook via irda

Hi guys,
I also have a laptop + Z600. Laptop sees the Z600 by IrDA.
Then I have downloaded plenty themes, ringtones and games on my PC but how to send them from PC to phone?
From phone to PC it is quite easy by using the send by IrDA menu but what soft do I need to send file in the other direction.
Pls help! |

u set up ir on laptop, need to be set up to detect devices..

I mean connection is set-up. Winodws sees a device connected by IrDa.
Then when I am selecting a ringtone on my PC and right click on it there is no "send by IrDa".
Do i have to install an extra soft on my PC on top of the IrDa driver that just detect the device? |
