T68i unable to search for gsm & gprs signals at same time |

Hope someone can help. My T68i is unable to search for both GSM & GPRS network at startup.
Had same problem with my 2 previous T68m (one of which was a replacement set from SC) and now my T68i! I understand that if I turn off the GPRS reception on my T68i, the problem is solved. This is very tedious as I have to turn it on again everytime I use WAP.
The SP I'm using is M1 GSM-SGP. Does it mean that M1 GPRS sucks? Or am I just so unlucky to have owned faulty T68m/T68i three times over? Strange thing is that such problems only happen after about one week of usage and not on day one. |

You don't have to turn on GPRS each time , it is enabled when you try to use wap.....It only takes a couple of seconds more..... |

Call your operator and ask them to explain. You should also try starhub or singtel sim.

I did try leaving the phone in GSM mode only while connecting to WAP via GPRS but it encounters errors very often. So the best way is to turn GPRS on again before I try connecting to GPRS.
Very troublesome. It's dissapointing since GPRS promised always on technology and yet I can't make full use of it. Sigh... anyway, thanks for the feedback guys. |

Ouf! Why is that? Once i turn my phone on, it looks for the GSM signal then the GPRS one and after that it works very fine. Since u encountered this prob with different phones, it may be ur network. Try using the same phone with a different ndtwork if u can
