Hi There!
I am from Portugal and have a T68 with Vodafone...
The name of network (Vodafone - Portugal) appears twice on the screen, it's written "Vodafone" on top and below that once more, "P Vodafone". These two lines take up almost half a screen -- is there a way to tell the phone not to show the network ID? Or any other way to prevent one of these lines?

it's in the sim. i have same dilemma. SMART on line 1 and PH SMART on line 2. newer sim from my operator, just shows PH SMART. so i have to upgrade. |

I have already tried to solve this problem...
I got a brand new SIM card from Vodafone and upgraded my T68 to the last software available... No luck! Remains the same problem... |

Why don't you call up the Vodafone Network Support or go there and show them the problem. I think you have a right to rest of the screen other than ONE network name. They can't use your screen as a space for advertising!

Maybe you have the AreaInfo thingy turned on.
Go to Messages > 6. Area Info > 3. Cell Information and turn it off...
If it's not that, try to go to a Vodafone store and "chaga-lhes o juizo".
