setting up voice dialing with t630... but through a HBH-60 bluetooth headset |

Hey there everyone,
Just got a T630, and love it...
have a quick question though. Was just getting around to setting up voice activated dialing as on my t39, and because I really only use the voice activated dialing when it's with the bluetooth handsfree the manual of the handsfree recommends using the handsfree to record the names.
Only problem is, I can't work out how to do it. I managed it on my T39, but with the T630 it's just not playing ball. Every time I connect with the button on the HBH-60, it thinks I want to dial someone, even when I'm in voice set up mode.
Any help much appreciated

Don't know if the 630 is same as T610 I have, but method I used was :
Settings....Voice Control.....Voice Dialing......Edit names (press button) to hear and record through headset.
Hope this helps.

I don't have a T630 with me right now, my wife is using it. But try this:
Go to Connectivity -> Bluetooth -> My Devices
Then select your headset. Select 'Connect'.
Your HBH should remain connected while you record your voice tags.

Am having similar problems with my HBH-60 and T616 phone... pairing and connect-up are OK, but it doesn't stay connected more than 3-5 seconds.
Any suggested fixes ?? |

I had the same problem using a Sony T630 with a Bluetrek G2 bluetooth headset - my voicedials only worked on the phone, not the headset and I couldn't record them onthe headset because it would n't stay connected:
SOLUTION:
Use the phone, not the heasdet, to input the voicedials, BUT when the phone says to speak, make sure you put your phone microphone near your ear - to emulate where the micrphone is on your headset (or at least hold it AWAY from your mouth) - then your voicedial commands will work when you wear it.
I did this and suddenly they all worked! |

OK, I have a Jabra250 and a z600. To record the voice commands, I don't need to have the headset connected. Only the bluetooth connection active. And to disable recording from the phone, I simply press the C button (which mutes the mike) while speaking. I need to do this because the z600 sends the BEEEP after which you say the command only to the phone, so the phone has to be near the ear, and the mouth as a consequence.
