You'll probably call me biast for saying this, as I work for Orange now in their wirefree data support department, after being so pleased with the service.
But I personally, after being with all networks (bar T-Mobile), find Orange to be the best, quality wise, feature wise & support wise. They have the largest network in the UK, and also the largest network--digitally--than any other network.
Their customer services have huge amounts of awards, and like other mobile operators, are actually located in the UK, rather than in india. They have departments for everything. You're talking to people at Orange, not a machine, and it's 24/7.

Really, you're not at much cost to give'em all a bit of a whirl. Although it'll be a pain handing out different numbers to people. I think people have to bare in mind, that you want PAYG, not a contract. So, as far as packedges are concerned, could be diffrent.
Orange are quite meaty when it comes to cross-network calls mobile calls, so, take into account what you friends have.
Orange do a cool thing called 'try' at the moment where you can try out bundles for free for a month.

Also with the o2 you can change it so you get 200 texts and 25 mms and i think 100 txts with 50 mms or just 75 mms free.

if you plan on sending lots of texts then o2, no others can match their value for payasugo sms use.
i have one as a second handset and its what made me start using wap.
if you top up £10 per month you get 300 sms + 300 wap minutes + you can spend the £10 you've topped up with on Home100 and get 100 minutes worth of voice calls from a chosen post code location to any network or fixed line phone.
t-mobile payasugo charges 30p per minute to any mobile or fixed line for the first £10, 20p per minute for the next £10, then if you make £20 worth of calls within the month the call charges go down to 10p per minute thereafter....not sure on sms charges.
Orange - dont know anyone who uses their payasugo.
Voda - as above, dont even go there. |
