Anyone using this combination? I've just bought an HCB30 and will be installing it this weekend. Any opinions/experiences with this combination much appreciated.

I've got an HCB-30 that I use with both my T610 and P900 - can't praise it enough. You have purchased well, my friend. Just make sure you record the voice tags clearly, and with a small gap after the beep, as the carkit doesn't kick in straight away.

Cheers Dave. I installed one in december in my brothers van but didn't get to try it much. He has a t610 but doesn't use voicedialling. Can't wait to get it fitted! Do you have yours connected to the radio mute and if so does it work well? I currently have a Sony MD head unit. Thanks.

I do have the radio mute function, but through a loom bought from CPW. Works like a dream, as does the voice-recognition after the latest Firmware upgrade on the P900.

Best piece of kit on the market IMHO.

Best of luck with yours,

Ive got the HCB 30 and P900 combo, and I've also got a hardwired Nokia 6210 kit as well (work phone, no choice with that) and between the two of them, people have said that they cant tell the difference, the sound quality is excellent (apart from the background road noise of course!)

@JohnM, did you use the radio mute function. If so, where did you purchase it from and is it really needed.

I am also planning to buy the BT car kit, but may not connect it the radio.

thanks.

I used the radio mute wire from the HCB30s main loom (yellow wire) and connected it to my Sony MD head units radio mute wire. When I make or receive a call the radio volume is cut to very minimum till the call ends.

@Dave - voice commands are great with it, I'm very impressed with the kit.

Does this mean that i do not need the Sony Ericsson HCE-16 Advanced Music Mute.

My Car system, Pioneer Keh-9700rds has the telephone mute wire in the main loom.

If your car stereo has a mute wire then you only need to connect the mute wire from the HCB30s main loom (yellow) to your stereos mute wire.

You only need the advanced music mute if you want to channel the phone calls through your car stereo speakers, otherwise the calls will go through the small speaker that comes with the HCB-30. This will still mute the stereo sound during a call however.

I'm using the HCB-30 with the advanced music mute with a Z600, used it with a P800 and T68i before that, all worked fine.
