First, sorry if this is not the right place to post this 'problem'.

I've had my T610 a little over 2 weeks now and up to now, it's been working perfectly.

However, this morning, something weird happened! It was on charge [as it is every night] and the alarm went off as it should have done. I switched off the alarm as usual, disconnected the charger and attempted to switch on the phone: nothing, nada, zilch - no power!! I did the usual like removing the battery, sim card, checking everything was seated ok, no dirt on the contacts, etc.

So, I assumed it was 1 dead T610 and I would have to contact the supplier and get it sorted out. I put the phone down and ...

... 10 mins or so later, it started up with *no* intervention from me - asking for the PIN - and seems a-ok :-/ I switched it off again and it started up fine, no problem that time!! And just switched it off/on again a second time - no problem!!

So WTF is going on? Anyone else had this happen to them?

Your advice appreciated.

TIA, David

I really can't say. I guess it is just an extreme slowdown from your phone. I have noticed that both my SONY Ericsson's (T616 and T68i) both have some slowdown. For example, when I receive lots of text messages at once, it takes a while for me to get them all, and my phone slows down. What FW do you have? This could be one of the problems.

Ethan,

It has the R3C002 Firmware.

I wonder if it is a charging issues as I tried switching it on/off a few times during the day and had no problems. It *is* charging okay though as when it *eventually* came on this morning, it was showing a full charge [from about
2/3 rds when it was switched off last night].

Hmmm ... very confused :-/

Hm, I think the phone might be defective.

Yeah, that's what worries me too

At least it's new and covered by guarantee so if it persists, I'll get on to the phone company.

I'll see what happens tomorrow morning!

Cheers,
David

My t610 did the same thing a while ago. Its been ok since. All i could think of is i had it charging on the floor next to my bed so it may have gotten warmer than usual. But it was in middle of winter so.....

Makes me feel better that someone else has experienced the same problem

It may be the same thing then - when charging mine, I tuck it on the shelf in my bedside cabinet on top of a pile of books ...

Guess it's just one of those things but if it persisits, I'll have to get onto Singlepoint (my service provider)

Cheers,
David
