Someone just made me realize that this phone is still working. It's my GH688 I purchased about 7 years ago and has never broken or given me any problems. Must be the most durable and best quality phone every made. I have made 2 battery purchases since I first bought the phone. Unbelievable! It is still used in my family as a backup phone.

How old must an R520 be now?

The 688 came out before the Ericsson nightmare years of the fragility of the T10 and the dodgy SIM door of the T65 (that SIM door being the only bad thing about the T65) and before anyone flames about this, those nightmare years culminated in a Watchdog item back then.

I can certainly see myself writing about my beloved T300 in 5 years time!

I bought my /// S868 in the early April 1999. It's still my private mobile phone. I've bought one replacement battery over the years, but both that one and the original one is now quite drained. Unfortunately...

However, I will soon replace my somewhat outdated /// S868 , probably with a brand new SE K700 . That's really kind of a technological long-jump one might say.

And, as a matter of fact, both the S868 and the K700 has one thing in common: You can make phone-calls with both of them... .

A SE T610 is currently my business mobile phone, but that's a different story...
