Hey guys.... I've got a bit of a delimma. I'm trying to decide between these fine cars, and wanted some input. A little background: they are both loaded out and the prices will be: Cooper S - US$26,300, R32 US$29,000. Is the R32 worth the extra money? What about resale, etc? I like both cars, but have to pick up only one (sadly) in 2 days. Thanks in advance!

If the mini is just a cooper S then have the golf. If its a cooper S works, have the mini!

Can you compare these two cars?

The Golf in R32 in UK is almost £10k more than the Mini Cooper S. I personaly would go for the R32 everytime.

As MINIs are now made by BMW they are German just using the British 'Cooper' badge.

Personally I don't like the new MINI cos it's anything but mini!
Should be the MAXI!!
It's a BMW compact in disguise.
I also love VWs so I'd say the R32 for sure. 4WD has to be a big plus over Front wheel drive for handling, especially in the wet.

Okay guys, I appreciate the input. I just drove them again, this time back to back. I don't know what I was thinking. Long story short: I pick up my shiny new Tornado Red R32 tomorrow afternoon! WOOT! You guys rock, man!

good choice, no contest really as long as fuel consumption is not an issue. i think ill be getting a r32 for my next car (in a couple of years when i can afford one!) I still love the sound of my golf vr6 and the r32 sounds even better
