This confuses me.
Got a bluetooth dongle TRUST BT120 and a T610 phone that I sync with Outlook.
My computer has Win2000 and Office XP. I only install the TRUST software, no XTNDConnect or PhoneMonitor software. I disables everything I dont need in the "Bluetooth neighbourhood", every COM-port Network etc. Just keep the Sync, Object push, and Filetransfer. This works perfect. I did exactly the same installation on another computer with Win98SE and Office2000, that too worked perfect.
But after six month I changed the old Win98 computer to one with WinXP Home edition and (same) Office XP. Now some problems started. It was impossible to get the Sync ok, I Just received error messages like: "PIM sync interface failed". Although Filetransfer and Object Push worked ok.
After a week of trouble I got it fixed, but this time I had to install PhoneMonitor, XTNDConnect and even enable the COM-ports before the Outlook-sync worked again.
Anyone who got an idea why the WinXP-machine causes all that trouble?
