Just looking for stuff, it's always usefull to know internet business...which I don't know much about...
Mainly, I've been thinking of doing site services and maybe buying stuff online...what are some good money/trading services out there...
I've seen stuff like Paypal, is that good? and what all can you do with these services, are they only for buying products?
I know there have been similar topics...but the others are mainly focused on just buying a phone online, etc...I want to know a little more about this stuff than just that. |

It's a matter of opinion, but regarding Paypal:
Pro's:
1) Can be used for both tangible products (sent through the post) and electronic services (member's site access, downloads etc.) Needs to be used in conjunction with server-side scripting for member's site access, however.
2) Fairly cheap
3) 'Guaranteed secure' That is, if something bad happens and you can proove that it's their fault, you're OK!
Cons:
1) You have to pay them a percentage of every item/service you sell
2) Some people consider sites that use paypal as amateurish. This is a bit unfair in my opinion, as setting up a merchant bank account and purchasing/developing the software required to accept online payment yourself costs a fortune!
As for other payment systems, I've only ever dealt with Worldpay, and they were far too expensive compared to Paypal. I'm currently interested in a number of companies that allow you to accept payment via Text Message, although the maximum that you can charge for a single product/service is limmited. Still, loads of people use this method for downloading games etc. so it's well worth a look if you're selling the right kind of product. http://www.sepomo.com/en/welcome.php is one of these companies.
