Advice on which phone to get |

Going to get new phone on my orange contract and undecided as to which to get. Currently have a Nokia 7650 and never carry with as I have to hate lugging the brick about. I do like the 7650 for what it does but size now matters to me!
Under orange I can only get a small set of phones and I looked at the clamshell camera phones, the ones I looked at so far are LG 7100, Samsung E700 or Panasonic X70.
After quick scan of the net for comments/reviews I'm considering the E700 since the camera quality and functions seem the best.
Idea of what I like/hate
Small size
Good camera, like the idea of zoom and adding frames to pics
Good screen is a yes, big screen would be nice to have
Connect to PC - yes
Bluetooth - nice to have
Java Games - yes
Handsfree option - yes
Email - nice to have
Polyphonic ring tones and loud! - yes
If clamshell the must have external screen
GPRS yes, as for 'banding' not bothered as I don't take phone abroad.
Decent WAP browser
So what do you guys think of the three I listed? Or is the better phone that would suit me, if the right phone is on another network then maybe it's time to switch? (except for T-Mobile who's network coverage is a joke).

I would advise you to go for the T630 or the T610.
Has all the features you realistically require. |

If you have an alternative to get SE Z600, them get it. If no, then take the E700 or X70 he you want the camera only for MMS. Btw welcome to Esato

The Z1010 is made by Sony Ericsson and shall be released March/April hopefully. But that will be a 3g phone if thats what you're after? |

just used the phone comparison chart on this site and the moto v600 is not much different the SE z600. the moto does have 5mb over the SE's 2mb, does the SE suffer for it's limited memory? |

Nah, not really. I wouldn't say so anyway...

if you have a pc or mac then the 2mb isnt an issue as you can bluetooth/ir pics ringtones themes.
if you down load your games over the net leave them on your pc and just send them across as you need them
the v600 is a nice phone and well worth have a look for some threads on here from users and they all seem pleased.

well had a look around the forum for comments on v600 and seems that the z600 is more popular.
big issue for me on v600 was the only one number be contact, i hate that it's so old.

Well ordered my Z600, HBH35 and a bluetooth dongle for PC.
What software can I use to import/load my contacts onto phone? I don't use the 'Outlook virus'.
Btw anybody recommend so sites for downloading themes/logos? Or recommend any useful tools/software. |

Got my Z600, finally... Nice overall package just think the phone is a bit 'chunky' for clamshell.
Being an ex-Nokia die hard still find menus confusing. Also hate the dreaded 'C' button, as I in my head I keeping using the cancel option to leave a screen but it actually deletes things! Gonna take a while on that one.
Camera is fast but after comparing images against ones from my Nokia 7650, I have to say the nokia is better. Also the screen quality is crisper on Nokia but the SE does fare better in the sun light.
Speed of typing and general speed of apps is good, but again I'd say the Nokia 'feels' faster.
I'm still unsure as to whether I like it fully, but maybe it will grow on me? Saying that I've only played with it for a day just under two days
Note: It's as thick as my 7650!

Don't worry. Give it a time and you will get comfortable with your new phone. Cheers
